Kindergarten through 6th grade kids are welcome to join us on Wednesday evenings, for some
fun and learning more about God and each other.
Theme this school year - "No one is an island"
Focus - teamwork, helpfulness, service, Bible stories, and FUN!
Membership - free and open to all, not restricted to children from St. Tims.
Schedule - Dinner is served at 5:45. CAST-aways program runs 6:15-7:30.
Bible Mentors
When our third graders receive their Bibles in the fall, each one is paired with
an adult who is willing to be their Bible Mentor. The mentors will help introduce
the child to his/her Bible, and share some of their own experiences in their faith
journeys with the child. Often the mentors become special friends of the children
as they continue to grow up in the faith.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School, held Jun 5-7, 2007 was a great success. Children
pondered the topic of rocks in the Bible. Our
theme was "Upon this rock …" We learned
why rocks are important and why everyone
needs a "rock" in their lives. We learned
about "layers" in Jesus' teachings, about
what "Upon this rock …" might actually
mean, and about making wise choices in our lives.

- "Water and the Word" is the theme
- All kids age 3 to 6th grade are invited
- There will be lots of music, crafts, treats,
and indoor and outdoor water activities!
- VBS will meet June 17-19 (Tue, Wed, and Thur) at 3:00-5:00 pm.
Church Camp in Iowa
There are over 500 camping options at 5 different locations around Iowa.
They include overnights with a grown-up for the little folk, to week-long
adventures for bigger kids.
The mission of the Iowa UMC's Board of Camp, Conference and Retreat Ministries:
- Provide sacred space where Jesus Christ transforms lives
- Enable persons' growth in Christian discipleship
- Develop leaders to empower their local churches in the world
- Facilitate this mission through Christian love
The theme for summer Church Camp 2008 is "Handle with Care."
